No, it's not a heart attack, we saw it coming. Not like 1987 at all.
It's like a slow cancerous move, but also like a stroke in that little strokes catch you off guard, and you may not realize there's more to come because you can't remember your name or find your wallet.
Then again, perhaps it's like syphilis. You didn't know exactly what you were getting into at the time, but it seemed like a good idea, and now you have your goods handed back to you and you're too embarrassed to let anyone know that you got involved in the first place.

This is herpes. You think it goes away, but the pain keeps coming back.

Yeah maybe Lung cancer was too much. Perhaps lymphoma. Could be fatal, but their may be a cure. But the treatment is long and sucky to get over it.
If it can be cornered, it will.
