I am becoming more convinced the bottom is in. We may get a pullback of five per cent here but I do not think new lows will come in. I have been bearish since November. So went to cash in longer term accounts. Been trading all the way down some short some long. Now I am trying to decide what to do to put more money back in. I am thinking right now RYDEX ultra QQQQ and ultra SPX. Also XLF IYR and something foreign EFA and IFN. Maybe sixty percent US market ultra then twenty in a few sector US ETF then twenty in foreign ETF. PM just does nott look right here and will not until dollar peaks. Will still trade the ups and downs but would like to establish positions here for a longer term. Those of you who are in same position what are you looking at and what asset allocation do you think you will use.

I have started to put my long team investment cash I hold since 2006 back to work 2 weeks ago, 10% are invested in XLF, 10% in total market index, 15% in large growth and 15% in FXI so far. I have no plan to put more back to the market in a short term, I do think we had a bottom but not the bottom, put some cash back in to insure I do not miss the whole thing in case I am wrong. and I do think Chinese market and Financial are closing to the bottom.
I do not think it is a good idea to hold ultra ETF for a long term, the expense ratio is higher, the dividend is usually lower then regular index funds, and it would not give you 2X return of the index it mirroring if you hold long term.
