Several big insurance companies this week reported big losses on investments in the last quarter, raising fresh questions about the financial stability of the firms as the U.S. government considers investing in them.

Insightful comment tp. :) However I prefer to remain in watchful waiting mode (cash) for now. There is no denying that we could have a rally say up to 1100 or 1200 on the $SPX, but, after that it is downhill for an extended period of time. Then perhaps sloshing around for years. Companies will not have much for earnings and, of course, after all is said and done that is what powers stock prices. FWIW I have a short term buy signal on the $SPX as indicated by the ema crossover of the $NYSI. If I miss the rally it wont be the first time I have missed out and probably wont be the last either. :o

There are tons of sideline cash.....There is no law that you cannot dip your toe in....

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! That's true enough. :lighten: Perhaps a small position in SSO is warranted. ;)
