today's slightly lower close, with all the anxiety about higher this and that, is really a positive if you consider the background nervousness. there is no reason for the bulls to worry: something very strong is pushing this market up. or maybe it is a magnet pulling it up - a date, an AstroMagnet, whatever you want to call it. this market has a date with destiny and that date is much higher. don't you see what is happening? all over the www and the chat sites folks are stunned. they are playing the left side of their charts. they are talking about plunges: we have already had the plunge! why be bearish now after a 47% decline!?!

what about:

1) new home prices that are still going down
2) deflation
3) 30 year home loan rates going up
4) us auto makers with no product to bring to the market
5) trillions in credit swaps that still need to unravel
6) jobless claims up
7) factory orders down

are these non issues ?

Humble, just take a bit of a hedge for a few days.
