once the winner is declared will we be allowed to bash the new administration and president-elect, whoever that might be? i do so much enjoy bashing politicians, but would that be political since the race would be over? i would also like to bash or admire potential appointees and policies. i mean only econ related bashing and handing-out-goodies bashing and that sort of thing. there should be plenty of bashing available in that niche alone to satisfy. no name calling (like those scum sucking pigs or low bellied lying snakes or anything).

why cant you guys stay off of politics ???

as a new guy on the forum I can tell you that it is very uncool and leads to problems.

this forum should be about buying stocks, forcasts, T/A and the stock market in general.

thank you; i surely agree with you. but econ policies is what i was thinking of, just bashing or admiring for that and how it relates to the market and credit floods, etc. and i would have to say names and things. do you consider that "politics"? if so, maybe we should ignore things like the new treasury secretary if that will bring out a poli-war here. (poli-war, a neologism by H1) to be more specific i guess i mean could we say the "O" word or the "M" word depending on who wins when it is over?

We've never allowed politics. Election Day or Groundhog Day, the answer is obviously, "No."
At least not here....

What makes you think that once a winner is declared that bashing -- that ALWAYS lead to ranting replies no matter how you post the first comment -- are ANY less poisonous to this board.

It would be ABSOLUTELY political no matter the state of a race, over with or not. People that agree with you will pile on and people who do not will get really pi$$ed and you'll end up with a war. If you want to talk about this stuff, go to the Yahoo boards, they are already destroyed.

Frankly, your opinion that once the race is over that's it is not political is VERY hard to fathom, by ANY standard of logic or understanding of human nature. The fact that you say you want to bash politicians -- with out feeling that people on the other side of the argument would not want to bash back -- is pretty unbelievable.

It's the anger created and the back and forth bashing that is the point and the source of the poison to maintaining civil discourse, not the politics!!!!

Of course we could switch to bashing religion. B)

Ya'd think this would be so clear -- by now -- to anyone whose been around these parts for a week. ANY observant person would know this is just NOT -- and should not -- be allowed...period!

JB: i was only talking about economic and fiscal policies and econ appointees, i thought i made that clear in my original post and follow-ups. "i mean only econ related bashing," i said in my first post. you may go back and read it, if you like. i did not know that was disallowed. i apologize for upsetting you or anyone with the question.

We've been well served by staying as close as possible to TA. It has been 8 years now for TT and 16 for Fearless Forecasters, I think. BTW, anyone who needs to reach us, use admin at TTHQ dot com instead of traders-talk.com for the next couple days. We're having email server problems with our ISP and Host. Mark
