Lately, there has been a cluster of local bad news.
Gatorad plant was temporarily shut down because their product sales had slowed & profits fell 9.5%
Google has delayed opening their new data center.
Dollar Thrifty has laid off 400.
Several retailers are closing.

But today I read this good news:

Tulsa-based Aaon reported record third-quarter earnings and revenue Wednesday, although the company warned that the rest of the year would be tougher.
Sales for the industrial heating and air conditioner manufacturer increased 12 percent to $79.3 million from the same period in 2007. Aaon’s profits jumped to $8.35 million, up 55 percent from 2007’s third quarter.
Aaon stock also beat analyst estimates by earning 47 cents per share, a dime more than expected.

Local aerospace suppliers could also see a rebound as Boeing Co. machinists returned to work this week after a lengthy strike.
