Looks like your chart and my volume analysis are in roughly in agreement at short term weekly support. I have 1056.

This was posted as a heads up...

:D

While I am not an investment advisor and don't give investment advice...

I will say I have made some tidy profits covering shorts on these big turn dates...

:D

Semi,
I too want to thank you for your contributions. I thought I'd add a little astrology signature to your Gann seeing the that is an important date besides the whole month of August. This is taken from Merriman's weekly column. By the way, learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere...too bad some people dont realize that.

Oh, he does adress his interpretation of the Cardinal Climax too in the article...for those that are interested can click on the link and if you're not then dont! Again, Merriman is not Arch Crawford. I only wish someone would interview Crawford now and ask him what his interpretation is. Imo, all this fear selling gives astrology a bad name. It's almost like being a real estate broker.. :D I can say that because I was. :D

On Monday, August 16, Jupiter will form its second of three oppositions to Saturn. This is a 20-year planetary cycle that has a fairly reliable correlation to long-term market cycles, and oftentimes coincides with 4-year cycles. You may remember the last opposition between these two planets was in 1990, which also coincided with a recession and a modest bear market in stocks. It also correlated with a hefty tax increase by President George H. Bush (father of ‘W’).

At the end of this week (August 20-21), the current phase of the Cardinal Climax will end with Venus will conjunct Mars in Libra (Venus rules Libra, Mars is in detriment in Libra), the Sun will be in opposition to Neptune (a very powerful Level 1 reversal signature), Mercury will commence its three-week retrograde motion through September 12, and Saturn will end its 32-37 year waning square to Pluto cycle. As stated last week, “Then we might be able to look back and realize the importance of what just happened. Or maybe we will even need to wait until Mercury retrograde ends before we begin to understand it all.”

P.S there are many methods to making money..I do very well for myself however, for me, the more I open my mind to different methods the better I become whether I incorporate that method or not. I always gain something from listening. Peace!

Gann like many TA related stuff is useless..A random probability is 50/50///what many people do not realize that if some guy is making forecast every so often, on avg, he is bound to be correct about half the time.. Now in future he shows his sagacity by picking & choosing and watchers are awed by that..same goes for letter writers.... Gartman is another example.... it is simple really.... The idea is this: A trend must precede w/ a huge action. (IBD FTD etc)..So a huge rally means: turn bullish right away.and vice versa...If a trend develops eventually, you will be right... Only in rangebound market, all this falls apart and is most frustrating to trade as well...

Before continuing to trash Gann and his methods...

Why not educate yourself?

Start here:

Gann was arguably the most successful trader of all Time.

BTW he was quoted as saying anyone who got it right 60% of the time can make a FORTUNE...

Enough already...
