So the market will blow up through 1100 and never look back, or it will fall massively, into a longer secular bear.
Cute. How can you be wrong ? Only if it goes up over 1100, and then back down through it. I'd say the odds are high we see 1100 a lot with how this market has been trading since April.
looks to me like someone is bored, especially with the dearth of posts here on the board in recent weeks. ;)

A few years ago, a famous bull said that 1374 would never be seen again in our lifetime.
I think he was right...eventually.

I will be too. :P

Spooky, I think we saddle up into this coming (lucrative) fourth quarter of the 2nd
year presidential cycle to get a running start on the 3rd year, which has not closed
down since 1939.

The Bull should have a merry, merry Xmas 2010.

(How's that off a 30 minute chart.?) :purebs:

After we see SPX 879, it's all candy and gumdrops in my book-but I stand pretty much alone in that opinion(probably correct, LOL)

I don't know about all that lifetime 1100 crap, but when the $nysi turns down it will last for 4 to 9 wks per the last 3 yr action. With 1 to 4 day rallies and a potential bombing of Iran sprinkled in of course.... That would sure speed things up on the downside... ;)

I felt like there was a heavy cloud over the market because of the Iran NUKE deal.
Getting thru the weekend without any action should allow the markets to breathe a sigh of relief, however temporary.

Until they look up at the EURO and it's crashing when it should be rallying...

There's your REAL worry.

Very good call so far SB. Are you looking for serious weakness right here? Tnx, D

Not sure about our lifetime, but there's a chance, perhaps not again this year......especially if you believe in Elliot Wave's theory of alternation: April cycle high came late, late Aug/early Sep comes early?

Caveat: This may only apply to really old traders.

In fact if you look at the major crosses of the ZERO... the US$ is the only one that it is holding up against.... I suspect that could be stealth intervention. The ZERO is already at the 7/1 lows against the Swiss Franc and the Yen.
