have a close listen to sam zell here
http://video.cnbc.co...ideo=3000021990

starting to look and feel alot like 06.
selling here is no way to get rich
many issues are @or near their 200dma
oversold in the miners and silver . gold has hardly corrected, maybe 7% to the lows @1462
will we just get an oversold bounce?
or will it be another leg?
is anyone out there
dharma
stubaby, i agree it is bottoming action

HUI has risk al least to 430 area, maybe lower, grande top IS there. Silver in grande bear market, gold will decline the least but will decline several hundred dollars. The writing is on the wall IMO. It was a great ride, it's done for 6-12 months at a minimum, time to move on.

Yes, it has been a great ride for those who have participated. Have you?
Personally I've been stepping up my buying over the last few days, up to 90%+ long.
I don't attempt to pick tops/bottoms, but I do know miners/metals are on sale here.
Don't be fooled, this is still a bull market. Nothing fundamentally has changed.
Sovereign debt and the USD crisis hasn't gone away just because the Euro tanked the last few days. ;)

as i have said ad nauseum I have owned a large gold coin position since the early 2000's and I will not sell. Last yr for the most part for my gold stock holdings I held a very large position in one small explorer that tripled, I sold most of it in December and January. I do attempt to pick tops and bottoms in the mining stocks and I belive they are muy bueno swing trading vehicles. I don't like holding long something that declines 30-40% and may take years to recover, like the HUI and XAU and GDX are likely to (already down 20%) - do you? And I would not be surprised if this grande correction or bear market in gold, silver, and the miners lasts a few years at least, are you ready for that? Seems to Senor that some around here are married to the gold bull, an amigo can get divorced from their pesos very fast that way. I am a Pete Rose or Ichiro type of investor, happy with piling up the singles and excellente batting average yr after yr, I leave the glory of boom and bust to the home run hitters - and I sleep muy, muy bueno doing it that way.

Senior, Last August you got out of gold and went all in with NAT GAS, you gave a farewell post on how gold was a dead market. Why did you get back into gold? There is soo much NAT GAS out there that it's gonna have a tough time getting a price up...... Why so negative on gold, quit using your North American eyes.

IF HUI Wave from 2008 Lows is complete - 430 (or lower) is reasonable

For what it is worth, I am still long. I believe the market has bottomed here for now. All the debt ceiling talk is going to fuel more gold buying over the next few weeks. I am still about 50% gold miners at this time. I buy the dips a little along. Good or bad, time will tell. I think the next dip will be in late June-early Aug. The depth of the dip will depend on how high we go up over the next few weeks. Just my opinion. I may sell some of my miners during the next spike and buy some natgas on the coming summer dip. As for my physical position in gold and silver, I don't plan to sell.
