The idea just struck me that we might have enough folks to put on a conference someplace fun and invite some smart folks to do workshops or speak. I'm basically just wondering if I should do some more research. N.B. At some of these locations there may be fly fishing available. I may also do a cooking seminar as a bonus, if I'm allowed.

FWIW... My Mexican Friends are telling me NOT TO GO THERE, there's no safe place right now... Not even the tourist spots. :o

I threw Cincinnati in there as a lark. You people scare me! Semi, you're probably right on Mexico. And that's a pity. One note, there are some incredible salmon runs as well as some crazy cosmopolitan dining experiences in Vancouver and environs. There are also sea run cutthroats that you can cast to from the beaches on the island. Were we to do something out there, I'd be timing it for maximal ancillary salmonid action. If that makes any difference to anyone.

sounds like the fishing trip with some TA? Tulsa is a major city???? OK - toungue in cheek alternatives - Davos (if they can do it so can we, in ski season), Geneva (nice perch in the lake, even in ski season), Ireland (just went there, the ocean is lovely in summer, great seafood), DC (we can go to Congress as a group and tell them to get real), Aspen (in ski season - see it is a theme), and for Andr Lago di Como or the Dolomiti, in ski season...
best,
klh
