:)
A very interesting picture is developing in Gold and Silver. IMO caution is suggested in LONG & SHORT positions. Charts will update.

its why i am lightening up. blowoffs are unstable. and they never have a happy ending. all the folks coming to gold now, will be brought to the woodshed. excess' take time to work off. dharma

hi Scott,

Great charts. I have been speculating on a top here for the miners and silver ... no idea here on gold.

hourly gdx

daily gdx

I see all kinds of resistance on this, in fact I took out a small aggressive play today on it, gdx does not want to follow gld on the way up, but I'll bet should gld crack, it'll go way down with it

time will tell.

it's got about a 1 to 4 risk to reward ratio (or 1 to 8 if you assume that I can get back about half of what I put in, should it break upwards or just stall for a few days)

Just wondering if it isn't so bleedingly obvious that it won't work this time, i.e. just a shallow pull back to get rid of overbought conditions? Maybe this time it's different? Na, can't be, gis :)

dunno about gold - dont think it is over. silver - measured move and momo says we get to 45 again, and if we get to 45, we should fill that gap, and if we fill the gap, why not 50 :) i will entertain up to the gap fill on this run.
best,

Would you entertain 32-35 or maybe 26 ?

HUI 590 was resistance, now support? BTW, I think you had the right trade, short at +/- 590, but now that we are consolidating above, fireworks are north IMHO. Thanks for the charts.
