First, there won't be a significant swing out of any system during a 2 month consolidation. However, I think this system would be helped by closing the position any time after the signal has started when you get a divergence between price and NYMO, if both are in sync, leave the position on. A counter move might still happen but it won't be because you ignored the divergence. I would rather use this method than getting stopped at a big drawdown.
