Dougie, seasonally the 1300 support area could hold, then bounce into an October high...if a "normal" seasonal pattern holds.

But will Yellen be dovish and N.K.'s Kim hawkish?

So Yellen was Hawkish. and then BOOM! 1300 tested.

Now what?

Seasonally we bottom around here near support.

Mid-September pullback to breakout area is the norm.

Anyone like or believe the action in rare earths?

I had two speculative just for tracking and sold them Friday, had them a long time,

may buy the etf instead. I think they will be part of the suppressed technology releases.

Last week saw a narrow range consolidation in Gold.

Often weak openings on Monday set the low for the week IF it holds near the previous week's low, so this may be the normal seasonal low setting up for an October high.

The COT backed off a bit last week but is still up there nearing topping areas of the past 5 years.

It makes me think we are not going to the moon here, but could see a decent rally similar to the end of last September.

But look at that 1st week of November last year where Gold saw a top and a $100 election drop!

I bought some NUGT 10 cents above the $33.10 morning  low.

Looks somewhat like the Monday,  July 10th, 2017 low.

But is it  just a back kiss of the trendline?

gold should go up into late Oct. now after the successful test of 1300's breakout, the recent low was forecast by my oscillator a few weeks ago...

So Yellen was hawkish...But now says she doesn't know what she's doing. LOL!

YELLEN: Economic outlook highly uncertain...
