Beware! scientific studies are wrong -- according to scientific studies..

 

Too few studies have large enough samples to support generalized conclusions.

When studies are replicated, they rarely come up with the same results. Only a third of the 100 studies published in three top psychology journals could be successfully replicated in a large 2015 test.

Medicine, epidemiology, population science and nutritional studies fare no better, Ioannidis said, when attempts are made to replicate them.

A famous 2013 study on the benefits of the Mediterranean diet against heart disease had to be retracted in June by the most prestigious of medical journals, the New England Journal of Medicine.

 

Bad studies have contributed to the adoption of treatments that are at best ineffective, and at worst harmful.

If you think the food industry is bad, microwave radiation (from cell phones, wi-fi, "smart" electric meters, baby monitors) etc. is proven to be harmful at levels many orders of magnitude lower than "safety guidelines" (note, not laws, there are no laws) allow, but industry sponsors thousands more bogus "studies" to swamp the legitimate science so they can claim the scientifically absurd "weight of evidence" shows no harm.

Remember the billions spent on removing PCB's from the environment - mostly at the expense of the utility industry?   Turns out only the PCB's manufactured in Japan (at a lower temperature) had dibenzofurans in them that caused the birth defects.  Ours didn't.  In fact our PCB's are so chemically inert they can't mobilize in the environment much less be taken up in organisms other than being deposited innocuously in fat tissue.  Those of us who grew up in the age of PCB's will have some detectable level in our fat tissue - it does not metabolize and its not excreted.   Think about it,  if an electric current can't go through them and break them down, how on earth can absorption by an organism do it?  Dibenzofurans, in the Japanese PCB's,  are another story.  Oh, and most states have prohibited any land disposal of PCB's at any concentration -they have to be burned at high temperature.  That means if you have any measurable amount in your fat tissue - you HAVE TO BE CREAMATED.

so they'll probably catch on and start saying some truth to steer us down their pathe because we automatically reject anything they said and do the opposite.

We in the USA have clean air and water.....compared to China. I won't even eat seafood anymore, makes me sick.

Totally agree on RF radiation, I had bad headaches when I first started using a cellphone. Chemical, pharma and

big industry have the politicians bought off, especially republicans, one thing that dems do a little better is more

environmental protection. They all allow dumping into rivers though. Obama drastically reduced formaldehyde

in wood product building materials.
