GLOOMY!

We are in a prolonged global industrial slowdown. Demand for energy&raw materials will remain weak, continously squeezing leveraged long specs in most resources, setting up overshooting downward price movements. A China deal won't change that basic downward trajectory

If Apple is getting slammed this hard due to China's slowdown...just imagine how much worse it will be when China's credit bubble truly implodes:

"The future might not belong to China" - I agree. China's dangerous credit bubble means it is like Japan in the late-1980s.

FORBES has a good column on the demise of FANG stocks but this extreme gloom is overdone, expect a good rally, soon

The FAANG stocks were a disaster waiting to happen. I was always suspicious of that boom. Unfortunately, I believe it's going to get so much worse. As I wrote a few months ago: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jessecolombo/2018/09/05/disaster-is-inevitable-when-americas-stock-market-bubble-bursts/  $AAPL $QQQ

I really appreciate all the great, insightful links you post here.  Thank you for your contributions to this board.

Now, as a day trader in SPY options, I'm curious. I'm up 60 plus percent at the moment in the SPY 249 puts, tomorrow's expiration.  What is going on in March calls?

I assume we're going to have a big bounce anytime now but if it takes its time, isn't time decay going to clobber March?

This averaging down with time restraints worries me.

Good luck and good trading.

<<Will load on APPLE calls if stock reaches $135; will by a few even if it gets to $140>>>

Why not sell cash-covered AAPL calls instead?  I just sold the February 1st (140 strike) puts for 5.05 each.
