Holy cow! Talk about fleecing th flock.

Wasn't there a time when crap like this was illegal? Under the fraud statutes? Under the theft  statues?  Under common decency?

I guess not.  It's religion, and there is no common decency in this Making-Americans-Grifters-Again world.

OKAY, IT'S FEBRUARY SO SEND ALL THE MONEY YOU MADE IN JANUARY TO TRUMP'S SPIRITUAL ADVSIOR

'The modern equivalent of bread and circuses': Fascinating chart shows how ever-cheaper gadgets and toys kept the masses distracted while price of education, healthcare and childcare SKYROCKETED over last two decades      https://www.dailymai...distracted.html

Someone on Twitter also argued that the chart demonstrates a divergence between sectors with heavy government intervention, and those with little government oversight.

'Blue lines = prices subject to free market forces Red lines = prices subject to regulatory capture by government,' the person wrote. 'Conclusion: remind me why socialism is so great again.'

"Someone on twitter" now that's  an authority. No wonder he doesn't know crap.

It is exactly the red lines that desperately need heavy government intervention and strict government oversight.

China Caves to President Trump in U.S. Trade War   https://www.american..._trade_war.html

China caved to President Trump’s Trade War demands as state-media published plans that foreign investors will no longer be subject to compulsory technology transfers.

As China’s Vice Premier Liu He was holding a televised meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office to announce big increases for U.S. agricultural exports to China, its Xinhua News Agency announced that China’s President Xi Jinping hopes to meet with Trump just before a March 5 vote by China’s National People’s Congress to ratify elimination of rules for foreign investment mandatory foreign technology transfers.

If You Are Warm Right Now, Thank Capitalism    https://www.zerohedg...hank-capitalism

As I write this, it is negative 10 degrees outside.

I am lucky to be alive. It would take me just a couple of hours to die from hypothermia if I were outside in such weather. But I am not just alive, I am comfortable. It is a balmy 73 degrees in my home. I am relaxing by my gas fireplace that gives off a warm heat as gentle flames dance about and please my eye.

I write this on my comfortable sofa with a computer on my lap powered by electricity and fed information via the Internet, itself powered by electricity and glass-fiber conduits that carry information to me from computers and minds from across the earth.

A couple statistics hardly do justice to the gulf in quality of life between 1800 and today:

Then vs. Now

The Trump economy is soaring like a rocket ship. It is exploding like a Grucci fireworks show on Independence Day. It is doing cartwheels like the U.S. Women’s Olympic gymnastic team. https://www.thegatew...-2020-election/

Payrolls (ie jobs) soared by 304,000 in January. That’s not a typo. THREE HUNDRED AND FOUR THOUSAND. In one month. This number shattered expectations. Economists predicted 170,000. The actual number was almost double. That just never happens.

But wait, it gets better. The manufacturing sector expanded again- despite all the so-called “experts” preaching doom and gloom. The New Orders Index soared by 6.9 percentage points. Remember Obama said this was all impossible. He reported that manufacturing in the USA was gone forever. “That ship has sailed” Obama reported matter-of-factly.

More great news. Year-over-year payroll growth was 3.2%. Obama would have given his right arm for an increase like that- even one time in his eight miserable years.

The biggest miracle of all is the news that blue-collar wages are soaring. College graduates are losing ground to working Joes and Janes in this Trump economy. Leading the way was a 4.2% wage increase for sales employees and 4.1% gain for leisure and hospitality workers. Trump’s “America First” policies are working!
