the stock market.....the only place on Earth where one day you can feel on your skin the fear of an economic armageddon coming quickly and the following day all the fear is wiped out even more quickly. Economic depression for everyone....no wait a moment.......we meant economic prosperity. Not even the clowns of a circus are so good at making people laugh

Its all because the media and pundits have to have something to explain (justify) why the market moved.

Saying money flowed from here to there everyday doesn't sell a lot of stories.

The manipulation of the little guy gets me.

Will all the computers, the big guys know where all the small players are, know their Uncle Point, and act accordingly.

I'm guessing - but an educated guess - that the SEC and CFTC doesn't even bother to look at this as $$$$ are so small percentage wise

just a wart on a hogs ...,

My favourite is "money on the sidelines." When I buy a stock, if my money "came off the sidelines," why didn't it end up on the sidelines when it ended up in the seller's account?

LOL....I had never thought about that. Strictly logically it's a right observation, but maybe when they talk about money on the sidelines they refer to the retailers' money and retailers are just a part of all the investors. When retailers are all out, money is on the sidelines. When they're all in money is off the sidelines. Retailers' money is what the market manipulators want to put their hands on and it's the object of their discussions that are given to the media

Because the stock market is not a zero sum game.
