Could this be a warning signal that gold itself is going to get smoked in the next few trading days/weeks due to deflation? Gold demand for jewellery in India and China has cratered, and investment demand is the only thing keeping precious metals afloat.

When I was in Joburg, the term that came to mind was "Fortress City"...everything with high razor wired fences, even inside gated communities with AK-47 toting armed guards at the gate.

Reports say many mines are being forced to close because of the virus, but maybe a fix is coming for that. Armstrong has reported that the number of cases in China is way down from a few weeks ago and they are working on drugs or even a vaccine down the road.
