This entire topic should be banned from T.T.

 

It's obviously politics... but it's interesting to watch people reveal their biases, so let it go.

 

 

Yes, this is not a political issue. It's a public health issue where medical experts, virologists and epidemiologist have the expertise to help guide us through this crisis with the best scientific evidence available. Science is a self-correcting enterprise, never perfect, fallible, with missteps along the way, but it's the best we can do.

 

Those who believe it's a political conspiracy are the ones who have politicized this crises, endangering the population by denigrating science and substituting uninformed opinions and beliefs for rigorous application of scientific principles.

 

One of the reasons this is readily accepted by many may be that it's a reflection of the quality of our educational system. The US measures an unimpressive 38th out of 71 countries for proficiency in math and 24th in science for 15 year-olds. We lag behind every developed nation in the world. Shameful statistics for the richest nation in the world.
