First let me say that I sold some rental property in December and couldn't be happier:

Eviction Filings by Big Landlords Surge...

Better lucky than good...

Today's NYUD reading is the highest that I can find for the last 10 years.

That extreme is often followed by a bit of a pullback (Weird Wally Wednesday?)

But T Theory uses such positive data to build new T's:

We are resting near the middle of the Keltner bands. We are at a support level, around 3310 if you look at the link to the companion chart in the menu. The last 2 Ts ended mid-June and early September, and were caught by T-Theory. The June T slide ended at the middle of the Keltner bands. Could that happen here? This week should tell us if the worst is behind us.

Looks like Stockcharts had bad data yesterday. Now they show yesterday's $NYUD close at  591 but with a high of 2675 which is what I was seeing when I posted well after the close.

That happens all to often. I've stopped even looking at A/D volume anymore. Cumulative A/D is far better, though not as good as I remember A/D volume being years ago.

Here is some of the Net NYSE data from Barron's each day.  The number yesterday was real IMO, but like Mark said, SC does something different now on the raw data.  Check out the positive up volume in early June.  Barcharts has $NVLU and $NVLD but both historical data sets from August 2008 are the same, so they are probably Net values.  Barcharts data is not as high as Barron's so probably Commons only.  The biggest total volume days that I saw the last 10 years were 10 billion on one day, but they were down days.  May 2010 flash crash day, and August 8th 2011. 4-5 Billion on the NYSE for all issues is a normal total.

For 12SPX, you can really see the tendency for turn around Tuesday in the NYSE volume data posted, LOL.  If monday is up on good volume, tuesday is commonly much lower.  Same goes for the occasional down monday with strong up volume on Tuesday.

Haha, well I'm kinda on half holiday so not paying too much attention but I had way more of a feeling we were going to be down after highs today then up and wished I had hung onto my short but oh well profits are still profits.  I have a hard time believing we'll see a lot of buying for expiration and for the health of the market I really hope we don't see it because if we do rally it will set us up for a possible ugly October so it would be perfect to stay around here.  I would like to see another up day tomorrow though as I'm going to start selling my October calls!
