I am curious as to if others trade during this time.

I ask not asking for setups you use.

I am familiar with many setups, early breakouts on on early range, Larry Williams  OOps, volatilty breakouts and so many others.

Just want to know if others feel if this time is a good time for them to trade?

For me, unless I have preset buy or stop loss orders that I want to monitor, the first hour (and a half) are almost always better spent walking the dog.

I think it depends on your style/risk tolerance/etc.  I expect to see volatile markets in the intermediate term.  If that fits your style then you are looking forward to it.  If you like the opposite extreme then choosing low-beta situations or standing aside would be better options.  I don't think there is an absolute right or wrong approach; what works for the individual is the right approach.

Depends on the way one trades but large opening gaps offer very high probability opportunities to trade against one's

position or initiate new positions.

I am at ease trading in the first half hour, first hour of the session.
