What time does SPX monthly expire today?

I think SPX index Jan. monthly options stop trading 4:15 pm EST today. But I'd not wait till that late as the bid-ask spreads will be outrageous..........
BTW, frequently it will be even more outrageous when you see the SPX settlement value is determined tomorrow morning shortly after the market open ..............

Yes with the first trade of each stock to make the calculation and thus why you can sometimes see radical numbers outside of the movement in the index. It in my view is the stupidest way to make a calculation in the world and don't understand why its still done that way! Always best to be out of your trade by the close today!

that is how they can manipulate to settle on a favorable price to their benefit.
