I am not clear how I can compare being in SPX during day to night. Are there any charts or places for historical charts?

You can't...the A/D data is provided during open market times only (9:30 to 4:00 Eastern).

 

To that end, the best way to utilize cumulative breadth data is on a close only basis...everything else provides low to no advantage as to the flow of investment capital.
