For the last 20 and some years, we have always been friendly to professionals, including newsletter writers and systems guys. It's perfectly fine to make a tasteful pitch and link to your site, BUT, it's with the understanding that you provide useful and reasonably interesting content as a part of that.

 

If you are just linking away, and adding nothing to our site, I'll take the post down. I earn my keep and you guys have to too.
