We certainly saw the rally I was calling for last week, and we now have another 1-2 structure that developed in the complex. And, as I also said, this is the last 1-2 I am willing to accept and we must see a break out over the high struck this past week, and follow through past the pivot to keep this bullish potential on our charts.
So, it really is that simple at this time. A failure by the metals bulls here would strongly suggest that we will drop below the lows struck in December.
For those interested in taking a more aggressive long trade, you can buy a position on a break out over the high struck last week, but you would have you place your stops just below last week’s low, and should we break out through the pivot just overhead, stops will move up to just below the pivot.
Should the expected rally take shape, we will then be able to determine if the rally will be corrective or impulsive based upon its structure and targets. I will certainly keep you informed as it moves through its next 5-wave structure.
