everything lasting so little, everything so poor in quality.......it's the success of buy and throw away.....the success of china's industry 

 

But there was a time when quality came first......there was a time for example when music on the radio was made for the pleasure of ears, not just for money

 

When I was a teen ager I used to listen  to this...... 

 

 

 2.12 the intro ends......listen then...same at 7.30

 

compared to today's music is like listening to Beethoven

My 2011 Chevy HHR is still running with original battery, and never has been to any car repair shop.

I did change tires at 60,000 miles, and of course routine maintenance with oil change & filters.

It still starts at the flick of the ignition key and runs like a well oiled clock. If that car can withstand my wife's

digital driving habits (her foot is always either on brake or gas pedals) and the car still has original brake pads,

that is impressive quality.
