I just made $168,000 in Crypto..risk free!  My secret? I didn't buy any!

 Hackers drain  Coinbase accounts

For Tanja Vidovic, it was a moment of panic:  nearly all of her $168,000 in holdings was gone — vanished before her eyes.

“I signed onto the crypto. And I said, ‘It’s gone,’” Tanja said.

The Vidovics said they tried to contact Coinbase but they couldn’t get anybody on the phone.

Making the issue even worse, cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed, according to the FBI. Experts say once criminals access an account, funds can be drained in minutes.

In April, CEO Brian Armstrong told CNBC:

“People no longer need to be scared of it like in the early days.”

Ben, a Virginia resident who asked that his last name be withheld, said he saw thousands of dollars vanish. He logged onto his Coinbase app in March, verifying his identity with two-factor authentication, but over a four-minute stretch almost $35,000 in various coins disappeared from his account, he said.

Experts say SIM swapping, where fraudsters seize control of a victim’s phone number and SIM card through their phone company, is to blame for many of the cryptocurrency thefts.

“The problem with SIM swapping and cryptocurrency is the moment you lose access to your cell phone, professional hackers will steal all of your money in less than 30 minutes,” said David Silver, an attorney who focuses on cryptocurrency.

Crypto makes me wish I had a decent knowledge of programming. Apparently Doge was created in an afternoon or two.  Talk about a pretty good return on hours worked.

I personally know a ''scientist'' who gave away almost 250,000 euros to a scammer site that made him download a fake platform by wich they made him see winning positions that never occurred in reality. They used leveraged positions as much as 400% in the forex market. With such a leveraged activity, positions did not last more than a few seconds. So the platform the ''scientist'' downloaded was a few seconds late by which they could see in their true real time platform what the winning positions were and posted just those winning positions in the ''scientist' s '' fake platform. They made him see astounding profits......which disappeared right as his whole capital when he had no money left and they realized it. What to say.......a true simpleton.

The minds of the fake scammer site, or better scam broker, were probably in Russia

There's a site that posts regularly a list of these scammer sites to advice people to keep away from them

forgot......the ''peculiar thing'' in what occurred to that ''scientist'' is that when the scammers (based outside Europe.....in a far island which is a heaven for scammers and fraudsters) phone called him at his office, in the very beginning he sent them to f@@k off, but then the lady on the other side of the line, pronounced some very fatal words as she told they would give him their best financial trader to follow his steps. The guy is so egocentric and narcissist that when he hears that word ''the best'' immediately he associates it with himself (I think he thought.....''another one like myself'') which thing brought him to reply ''you have convinced me as I see skills in you''. Laughable and tragic at the same time. They were able to stole him everything. The problem is bigger than what this tragic example demonstrates. The problem is also that when trading everyone brings his personality into his own actions in the stock market.....and you need a very neutral personality to be successfull in this kind of activity. The worst are the narcissists as they are always right even when the stock market proves them they are wrong.

the bad thing for me....was that the ''scientist'' gave them also my phone number and they repeatedly called me just to hear me send them to ''f@@k off''. And they went on till a few months ago although the fraud was three years ago. All the voices I heard on the phone in these years (ten or twelve calls per year....until recently they gave up) had south american accent when speaking italian.....one of these girls with her south american accent (sounding argentinian to me) told me she was swedish and I told her ''sure and I am from Bolivia'' at which she started to laugh........which says it all about those fraudsters.....based in Russia in my opinion but able to recruit people from all over the world. Luckily they gave up.

And everything started from a financial site where the ''scientist'' subscribed giving his phone number which was sold to these scammers........so pay attention where you register yourself
