Yep...   We have inflation due to shortages....    Shortages are abound everywhere at the moment, and it will get worse and we will have inflation...    For vehicles and other items like computers there will be a six month affect of managing to get by without some things...   This means once supply is available there will not a strong pick up of demand since many items are not necessary ( or replacement is not necessary ) since people have learned to live without the item...    This will lead to an imbalance in the supply chain, which is too much of some widgets and not enough of other widgets and deflation for some products.

We are also seeing companies ordering many parts for products in 2024 and 2025 since that is the soonest given their schedule they can make to parts...    What will happen is as the supply chain fixes itself the companies that have products ordered and are getting parts faster than they can make them will start cancelling orders which can cascade in other companies doing the same thing.  This leads to a 2 year lead time collaspe to 1 month in a short period of time.

So long term inflation they feel is still under control but short term they are hoping this is a blip...   With supply chain issues we should not be stimulating the economy, but raising interest rates to keep inflation under control.

interesting.....this Summer I went to a bycicle shop in order to buy a new sport bycicle for my long runs alongside the river that brings to the sea the waters of the lake that I live near to. Well the guy at the shop told me that the supply chain is broken and if you want to buy a new bycicle you need to order it months before you get it. Well, now it's not just bycicles I guess, some other supply chains are broken.

Restaurants and stores near me have "Job Openings" signs everywhere. Workers rather collect generous unemployment checks than work for not much more money. Ditto with our garbage collection company. Last year they would collect like clockwork at 8 am on Thursday morning. Now sometimes it is Saturday before they pick it up. Why collect smelly garbage when one can collect unemployment checks for 99 weeks?

on the other hand nobody said anything when they were being paid starvation wages and you got to enjoy low prices at their expense.

That is the biggest BS I ever heard. I have traveled to over 40 countries on every continent except Australia,

and I have never seen so many obese poor people as in USA. Nobody starves in USA, not with EBT food stamps.
