Lots of divided loyalties in all of this, especially when the "experts"  have huge money to be made in each decision, and especially when facing a "crisis".

For example:

The opposition to oil pipelines is interesting considering that railroads haul tons of oil daily, often with deadly accidents and oil spills.

Quiet Pipelines are safer and do less damage to the environment than do noisy BNSF trains as they travel over 32,000 miles thru neighborhoods and over public streets.

Also interesting to me is, Who is paying all of the pipeline protestor$ camping out for weeks at a time at pipeline construction areas?

Follow the money and you may find out.

PBS sponsors:

BNSF operates one of the largest freight railroad networks in North America, with 32500 miles of rail across the western two-thirds of the United States
