Price drops in durable goods stalled. Food and energy prices rose. Core CPI has jumped by 14.6% in two years

I have noticed that several restaurants are dropping menu items which require extra employees to prepare them.

They can't get enough employees to prepare a full menu.

(Elon Musk recently joked that he was going to buy McDonalds and fix all of the ice cream machines! (They require a lot of labor to clean.)

Locally the formerly 24 hour Walmarts are now closed 7 hours nightly.

Some have also closed their 3rd "Seasonal" area entrance and registers.

And many stores have few, if any human cashiers.
