Same thing has happened to tourists on Mexico golf courses.

But United States had no shortage of Car jackings, gang looting of shops and house burglaries either. Opportunistic crime is everywhere except Japan and china. But who wants to live as a gaijin or in a communist dictatorship.

After reading all these posts, I am very happy to be getting ready to burn 83 candles soon. May be I should convert all assets to gold and move to India. Gold has been king in India for 5000 years. Nah, I am not into crowds. And I love living in richest county in Florida, St John's county. Thankfully there are no homeless camps in this town on Atlantic ocean.

Yup...about 20 years behind you, but my Girls are the main concern for me at this point.

I am hoping we turn the ship around for them, but not super hopeful, due to the total indoctrination camps our public and higher education systems have become for the coming generations...and if America actually completely falls to the WEF, welcome to full dystopia, with useful indoctrinated idiots cheering it on as it happens.

Although Texas, where I am currently, and Florida where you are, should be among the last to succumb. Thankfully, I am hearing quite a number of reports from the realtor crowd of a certain kind of folks actually leaving Texas because they "don't like the politics". Don't let the door hit you on the way out...

Already have beautiful land away from major metros in Costa Rica and East Africa, ready for development if needed. May bug out as soon as 2025 depending on how things go....

What attracts you about Costs Rica? I heard there is a bunch of American expat retirees there.

The Rica riches they were looking for did not materialize (should have actually been called Costa Verde, as green is everywhere)....but in general, the people are super friendly and the land spectacular...

As with just about anywhere, staying away from the tourist areas is advised. I got mugged as youngster in Hawaii on Waikiki at night 40 years ago. A bit more aware of my surroundings after that.

But I have been there many times all over the country and never felt anywhere near felt threatened, just as I have been to Hawaii many times since with no issues.

I am not necessarily looking to bug out due to any kind of real fear, but to escape the toxic mindset that is taking over "the west".

I suppose I could find some place away from the cities in the US (they were throwing explosives at a police car in downtown Austin this weekend).

But I just really love how I feel in tropical locales.

I have children who's lives are about to be turned upside down

It already has been turned upside down.

Right is wrong and left is right.

Girls must compete against boyz, in fairness and the equality they demanded..

Homelessness is hand in hand with $400,000 missiles shooting down $12 balloons.

The Harlem Globetrotters will always beat the Washington Generals and they will all get on the same bus to go to the next game and paycheck.

Sometimes cynical is truth.

"It does not belong to man who is walking to direct his own steps" but we vote for them to rule over us.

Yep Roger ...but ..and I preface this with I 'hope' i'm wrong but things are going to get alot worse, you left off COVID/VAX and Lockdowns ...lets add

 - AI gradually replacing most jobs

 - World War 3 gradual escalation ..notice over weekend MIC already pushing for getting China involved ..so predictable.

 - a long and growing deeper 'recession' -  as the credit bubble is gradually deflated over next decade.

The above are a given - the next to me are also, but  I know many won't believe it YET

 - formation of a Global Governing body - starting from wHO ..expanding to other aspects what currently is run by 'govt' ...

 - Move to Digital 'money' and end of cash/credit to allow Global control of supply/demand -  this will be solution to the by then, mass homeless/lawless/jobless/moneyless situation by 2028-2030 ..you

will rcx a Digital account with enough to pay rent - food - some extra ..digitially controlled by Social Credit score - which mean, Global control/compliance system ..see China for current trial of system.

 - removal of private ownership if you accept digital account help, which most will have to.

This^ is the 'good' outcome - I could say far worse, but ignorance is bliss I guess for most ...so I wont'...but lets just say 'pandemic/wars' can be made far more deadly, and targeted if population needs to be reduced quicker.

So, yeah, in comparison these are the 'good old days'  :-) ..to be honest, our kids that a survive his transition period into 2030-2035 might be ok ...they probably will prefer the 'brave new world' ..plugged most of day into metaverse, no need to work or leave

the house, but its not a future most of us older folks would want for them I believe.

On the positive side, world population is INCREASING which is proof of a successful human race.

Prosperity is growing at rapid rate in South and South-East Asia and China where more than 60% world population lives.

The crowding  and traffic in bigger cities has to be seen to be believed. Those people can afford more and better food.

One of the reason food prices are high everywhere. There are more cars, more phones, better housing, more restaurants

& hotels, more corporations, more jobs, all over those countries. Life expectancy keeps growing. Violent crime is minimum.

Only country really not growing is Japan in East Asia. Demographics for population growth are not good.

But it is the most civilized country I have ever visited among the 50+ countries I have visited. There are no homeless people.

There is not garbage on the streets, people are polite and courteous. Violent crime is almost non-existent in Japan.

Another country which impressed me was Singapore. It is amazing to see Chinese, Indians and Arabs living in harmony.

Flying out of ultra modern Singapore airport and landing in San Francisco International, I felt like I just entered a 3rd world country.

I consider myself lucky to have arrived in United States in 1960. It was the golden decade. Even in a big city like Chicago where i

would ride public buses after midnight, usually well intoxicated after a date, and never got mugged. Now it is completely different.

On the whole I am sure better days are ahead for most people in the world.

People breeding is proof of successful human race? er, OK - don't know where to start with that   - viruses also breed, until they kill the host.

China runs under a Totalitarian regime and social credit system, so does much of Asia  - they have social control by elimination of individuality and freedoms, personally that

is not a model I want to follow in the West, but, that's exactly what the Power That Be want to do -  if they can't achieve it by fear, as last few year, their published plan

is simple to destroy the western cultures as they, like you, prefer the compliant Asian populations.
