a different type of intelligence

Recently a comedian commented on this.

His girlfriend has a much higher IQ than does he.

She told him that there are different types of intelligence and that he had a high "Emotional Intelligence."

He asked her, "What does that mean?"

"It means that I am smarter than you are!" she replied.

LOL. dunce.gif

Question everything, especially what you believe you know. The foundation of science is questioning the data, not trusting the data. I only trust fully falsified, non vested interest 'data', which is extremely rare in our world of paid framing narratives 'psy ops'. :-)

It seems nature has sense of humor ...tends if person is 'high' in one cognitive area, they are 'weak' in another - everyone I met in science had high IQ's, but nearly all were social inept and emotional clueless

bordering on sociopathy  .

All cognitive reasoning is synergistic   -  it's like, if I have a fast CPU (high IQ) but slow GPU( low introspection) - the GPU is a 'bottleneck' and limit ...

>A person with average in ALL area's end up 'real world smarter' across all tasks, than, a person of high in one area but weak in others  ..who tend to be only good  a 'specific tasks'. ( a savant is an extreme example)..

though we tend to glorify 'specificity'.

What I think is a problem, is that 'IQ' has become the 'definition of smart' when that is infact 'dumb' and ignores all the evidence of study of intelligence, ironically :-)

..and I say this, as someone with a so called 'genius level IQ'  - which is  b.s. ... genius is not defined by high IQ, never seen or met a anyone ( and I met alot) who are ... Da Vinci, Eistein - wasn't IQ that was high,

it was SYNERGY of being HIGH in multiple area's - mostly creativity ( not even measured on IQ LOL) ...and 'introspection' and 'perception' shift' which i've mentioned - barely even known about outside neuro science.

Like I say 'logic swims in pool or assumptions' - your logic can be perfect(high IQ - fast CPU) but if your assumptions (problem domain space) are flawed...your logic is 'dumb' ..the skill of challenging assumption

is NOT in 'IQ' ..its introspection and perception shift, and again, it tends to be ironically high IQ = low in those,   so 'smart but dumb people, Nicholas Talebs calls these IYI - intellectual but Idiot, run everything -

and u can't point it out to them, because they actually believe there IQ and academic qualifications as a result of it = smart,  and they LACK questioning (introspective) ability to see that is false... see Nature sense of humor :-)
