Some good news for the buyers as the short term trend of volume continues to improve, though much of this can be finger pointed to anything related to artificial intelligence. On a technical basis alone, the McClellan Oscillator historically stays on either side of its zero line for a period up to 4-6 weeks at a time. Right now we're at 5 weeks, and congestion of the individual postings on its sister tool, the McClellan Summation Index, is showing good buoyancy in both the SPX and OEX. On the breadth side, the SPX and OEX MCSUM's are still above their -250 levels, so if we do turn up from here, volume would be leading breadth to the upside where price trend creation can then develop. So Friday becomes important for both sides, though if one were to look at the daily price trends on the NASDAQ, NDX and OEX, their directional bias is leaving very little to debate about.

Overall then, we might be looking at some sort of exhaustion for both sides...short term bottoms for the broader market, while money made in the A.I. area moves from issues that are now deemed "overvalued" to those that have been under pressure to perform. In other words, like weather warnings themselves, the storm clouds of the last couple of weeks have now passed for the most part, so a more neutral outlook of things would seem to be prudent.

Let's see how things go into Monday, but any further strength between now and then would allow prices to have a bullish bias into this month's OPEX event on the 16th.

You mean warnings stand withdrawn?

Just asking.

Warnings are just that...when conditions are ripe for preparedness. Very much like tornado warnings, thunderstorm warnings or even blizzard warnings...sometimes warnings turn out to be non events or not as wide spread as expected. Still...there is cold, unstable air behind the front with the underlying internals in a state of unsynchronized flux (conditions that create price consolidations). But at the same time, and as you probably know all too well, when something doesn't happen as technically suggested, there's a good chance that something else is going on that needs our attention, and so, this follow up post in an effort to be substantive consistent.

To me this looks more like lift-off than exhaustion.  Maybe the fangs will rest while everything else catches up to them.  The market is pricing-in the further loss of fiat purchasing power caused by the government's continuous deficit spending.  The fed couldn't fight inflation (even if it wanted to) without some fiscal restraint from the government, and that potential has now officially been taken off the table.

I don't understand the hesitance of silver busting out.  Is it waiting for brandon to announce $5000 of credit card debt 'forgiveness' for all people living within the borders of the US?  I expect that will happen sometime ahead of the election.

I liked today's rally. It was broad and wasn't based on just a few tech stocks. The buy side finally showed some good strength. I like what I saw from a bullish stand point.

Several studies found a connection between full and new Moons and stock market performance. Generally, stocks tend to perform better in the days around the New Moon, while price weakness is more frequently seen in the days around Full Moon.

I looked out of my window and what did I see? June 3rd, Full Moon
