I admire you all guys who are able to trade daily. I can only do well if I trade stocks with a time horizon of some months and in some cases even two years. If I traded futures daily, I would make disasters, probably or certainly.

Obviously you don't suffer from the psychological stress I have to deal with, especially when geopolitical events like the one we are experiencing lately, shake the whole stock market. That is a great advantage you have.

BTW, US nowadays as an oil exporter this war is actually not bad at all for the economy.  The hype on the Hormuz and oil is over done by now .............................

US only imports 1% of the crude that is transported thru the Strait of Hormuz, and it can be completely replaced by oil from the world's number one oil reserves in Venezuela.  ............................

With that said we should be aware that crude from the Middle East is not as important as it's hyped for the US economy .......................

Yay look at you red!!  Interesting the market has popped back with bank capital requirements proposals!! I have said all along that part of this pull back has to do credit so lets see if the pop holds!!

You know when the market was inundated with puts what will happen ...............................

I was wondering. Tomorrow OpEX.

time frame

So, I'd not be surprised to see SPX to close the day in green for tomorrow morning's settlement  ..............................

For longer term - After this OpEx week the stock market is likely to go higher as it's getting into the EOQ window dressing time followed by pre-earnings run up ................................

Well funny I am taking a break from day trading ended this year with a 4 year win streak no losses but got tired of staring at the screen so selling option premium is almost as good anyhow, you sell, sit and wait for it to expire worthless or like I have been doing, take profits 1 hour before close and wait for the next day.  Selling out of the money options always has time working for you instead of against you even if you made a bad choice as the closer you get to expiration the faster the premium has to evaporate!!

Whoops didn't hit post lol!!  Out way to late so I'm way behind but overnight sold the June daily 6550 puts for $7 and this morning I am noticing a weird thing but there are sometimes bizzare bids on options priced around the 6600 levels which is strange.  So far were seeing a down open for expiration and maybe that is why not sure.  It's interesting that the market is down with oil slightly down but again I think it may be credit and the fact that the bond market is backing up pretty hard here as there is likely to be no rate cuts this year at all.  Going to be an interesting day I think in the end.
