USMC will be there in a couple days now, if there really was no talks the time has been filled. He has to get this market back above the 200 either way. Jmho

agree, all these negotiations are just to win time to get the marines stationed. But I doubt 10k Marines are going to make much of a difference. If they destroy Kharg (boots on the ground or from air) Iran will close the Hormuz and the Persian gulf. 

Any ship-seeking missile on a truck going 100miles can aim at a tanker from any village along a mountainous shore. No way to control that without a full invasion that takes a minimum of 500k to 1Mio troops.

I am sure Netanyahu is willing to make this sacrifice. But the US population? This can turn very bad very quickly.

Trump threatened to hit the "biggest one first," which is the Damavand natural gas power station. There was no mention of Bushehr. Perhaps it is you who should be ignoring the rhetoric. When Trump was asked about his talks with Iran today, it was obvious he was making it up as he went, not sure if it started last night or the night before, and speaking sentences that made little sense. I think he believes speaking with a hopeful future puppet leader is "speaking with the  country of Iran."
 
As to "facts on the ground," have you looked at Tel Aviv tonight? Iran has not been subdued yet.

You are correct Linrom1. How can Iran fight a war when all 30 navy ships are at bottom of sea, all fighter planes are bombed out, all communication centers are in rubble. Iran being almost 3 times bigger than Texas, Iran has many hidden places to shoot small drones and a few missiles. But even that rate is down by 90%

It's not moral compass. They either have TDS, are Democrats and/or hate Israel. People have selective moral outrage: no one gives a [bleeeep] about 25,000 Ukrainians and Russians dying every month. Where were these people when 30,000 Iranians were gunned in the streets at point blank range; murdered in hospitals and nurses r*ped. Maybe they were in Times Square with their Palestinian flags calling for genocide of settlers/colonizers(GTFO) from Poland? 

 

This is way off topic, but if the Iranian regime cared about their people they would surrender just like Hamas should've instead of using civilians deaths for death toll propaganda.

Instead killing 32,000 civilians just because they are protesting in the streets against those bearded cameliers who are ruling Iran by imposing stone age religious rules made of s@@t, well that is not a crime, eh ?

 

War crimes are paid by those who loose the war, not by those who win it.

today on a national newspaper it was reported an interview to a muslim that stated that  the Kuran says that ''a man is allowed to beat his wife if she doesn't behave well.'' They asked him to give an example of a wife mis-behavior.

 

He replied ''...if she talks to another man''. Now, are we able to understand that this stone age doctrine is a trojan horse that will bring our civilization to collapse, if we let them in without imposing to them to respect our laws ?

 

They have to learn to respect our laws or get back home. And wherever in the world that doctrine is wiped out, it's a good thing for the human kind, Iran included.
