With oil over $100 from $65, it's is only a matter of time before

But maybe the wealth effect spending from asset inflation in the top 20% will compensate for any reduced comsumption in the bottom 80% due to high gas prices, i.e., no recession.
Not much space left to maneuver below 5%. Rates could sure use another dose of viral hysteria about now.

Higher gas prices are actually DEFLATIONERY! Because the bottom 80% are forced to buy less of other goods and services due to high gas prices.
