Ceramext ™ 10,000's of Jobs in the construction industry,
will be the spinn-off from EMR's Mfg's of
the Ceramex Manufacturing...
Emgold Licenses Revolutionary Process to Convert
Mine Tailings to Ceramics...

Emgold Mining Corporation (EMR-TSX Venture) (Emgold)
is pleased to announce it has signed an exclusive world wide
license agreement with Ceramext, LLC to develop
and use the Ceramext™ Process to convert mine tailings
and other waste materials into high quality ceramics.

The Ceramext Process is a patented, energy efficient,
one-step technology capable of converting a wide variety
of raw materials, including mine tailings and fly ash
into high-strength, low-porosity, industrial ceramics
such as;
floor tile,
roof tile,
brick,
construction materials
and other industrial and
commercial products.

Ceramext has a patent on the equipment and other patents
pending on the process, which uses a vacuum hot extrusion
of waste materials to produce
high quality industrial ceramics.

The Ceramext Process has been demonstrated on a laboratory
basis on a wide variety of materials including;
coal, lignite,
and biomass fly ash,
bottom ash, slag,
clays,
volcanic ash and mine tailings.

Specifically, Ceramext has tested tailings
from the Idaho-Maryland Mine;
and has successfully produced very high quality
ceramic blanks using
The Ceramext Process
suitable for forming into a wide variety of ceramic
products using standard finishing technology.

Independent marketing surveys conducted in California,
indicate that floor tiles are worth
approximately US$1.25 to $1.50 per square foot
on a wholesale basis, which translates
approximately US $400 to $500 per ton of feedstock
to the process.

Emgold, through its subsidiary...

Golden Bear Ceramics Corp. ("Golden Bear"),

anticipates building a pilot and demonstration plant
to determine the feasibility of converting
mine tailings to ceramics at its...

Idaho-Maryland Gold Mine Project
in Grass Valley, California.

Preliminary engineering studies indicate low capital
and operating costs in comparison to conventional
industrial ceramic operations.

The Ceramext Process could allow a mining operation
to make a useful and profitable product from mine
tailings that would otherwise require expensive
impoundment, which could consume large areas of land.

The Ceramext Process could create additional income
from mining operations and allow mines to
continue to operate profitably even in times of very
low commodity prices.

Under the terms of the agreement, Emgold,
through its subsidiary Golden Bear
has the worldwide rights to subject a monthly royalty of 3%
of the gross sales revenue derived from the sales
of physical products produced.

Emgold must pay Ceramext US$100,000 within 90 days
of Regulatory Approval to cover certain development costs.

Emgold will also tender to Ceramext 200,000 shares
of the Company subject to such restrictions
on transferability as may be required under applicable
securities laws and regulations, subject to
and within 90 days of regulatory approval.

The world wide rights will remain in force
based upon Golden Bear maintaining minimum royalty
payments calculated on a quarterly basis that consist of:

"Year 1", US$ 0.00 per quarter;
"Year 2", US$ 5,000 per quarter;
"Year 3", US$ 10,000 per quarter;
"Year 4", US$ 20,000 per quarter;
"Year 5" and thereafter, US$ 40,000 per quarter.

"Year 1" will be deemed to commence 90 days after
the date of approval of the agreement by Regulatory Authorities.

Golden Bear is committed to spending US$ 1.2 million dollars
to construct a pilot and demonstration plant
using the Ceramext Process in Grass Valley,
California and completing feasibility
and marketing studies for the commercialization
of the technology and the production of various
industrial and commercial products.

Ross Guenther, General Manager

Ross has had more than 35 years experience in the
mining industry.
He has worked as a geologist in coal and mineral exploration,
mining operations, mineral processing, and mine finance.

It was during an attempt to stabilize and add value to gold
mine tailings, by using them to produce ceramic products,
that he developed the Ceramext concept.

Subsequently he found that other materials,
such as coal fly ash, made excellent industrial
ceramic materials, generally with better qualities.

Although the Ceramext concept is new to the ceramic industry,
he has observed evidence of similar processes
that have occurred deep within the earth's crust
where nature has metamorphosed minerals into
the earth's own ceramics.

Alex Guenther, Ph.D., Director of Environmental Engineering

Dr. Guenther has over 20 years varied experience
in science and engineering.
He is a staff scientist and group leader at NCAR
(a research institute sponsored by the National Science Foundation). In addition, he offers consulting services to the industry.
Alex received an M.S. in Environmental Engineering
and a Ph. D. in Civil Engineering from
Washington State University.

James E. Stephan, Consultant

Mr. Stephan has over 30 years of engineering
and management experience relating to technical
ceramics and advanced materials processing,
product development,
applications engineering, manufacturing support,
and market development.
His engineered materials background includes extensive
experience in both advanced ceramics and traditional
ceramics, specialty metals and composites, and
polymeric materials.
His degrees include a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering at
the University of Illinois, and a M.S. in Metallurgy
and Materials Science Engineering at
the University of Denver.

On September 19, 2003 Emgold Mining Corporation,
through its subsidiary, Golden Bear Ceramics Corp.,
signed an exclusive world wide license agreement
to develop and use the Creamext ™ Process to convert
mine tailings and other waste materials into high
quality ceramics. See
www.emgold.com.
Sub-Licenses will be available through Golden Bear.

Golden Bear is looking initially at very high volume,
well established, and growing markets such as tile.

Golden Bear is interested in issuing licenses
for the Ceramext method to ceramic manufacturers,
power companies producing fly ash, producers
of recyclable mine wastes, and other producers
of raw materials or industrial wastes.

Golden Bear is also interested in licensing equipment
manufacturers for production of the Ceramext equipment.

Licensing may be particularly favorable for a power
company producing its own fly ash, or a company
affiliated with the power company on or adjacent
to its power plant.

A license with a marketing company will also be considered.

Dedicated producers may subsequently be appointed to
supply the marketing entity.
A licensee of Golden Bear that can successfully take
the product to market will have other proprietary,
patented innovations offered to them as well.

Under no condition whatsoever is this web site an offering
of license in any form to any one person or entity.
Any license offer will expressly be made in subsequent
written form.

Contact Ceramext for more information about license offers.

MARKET AND INDUSTRY ANALYSES

Market Description
The target market for Ceramext includes retailers
and wholesalers of building products.
The target market is somewhat open-ended.
All builders want products that are less costly and
have superior qualities.
It is reasonably established that any markets for common
brick will be somewhat local perhaps up to about 200 miles
(by rail) because of the relatively high weight
to value ratio.
Other items such as roofing tiles are sometimes shipped
overland for more than a 1,000 miles and
some floor and wall tiles are shipped around the world.

Ceramext staff, the EERC and other consultants are
compiling the identity and size of the market.

Market Readiness
High power and labor costs have caused industrial ceramic
prices to rise.
The Ceramext products are expected to be of higher
quality and lower cost.

Marketing Plan Assistance
Golden Bear can assist in the training of your
sales team and the preparation of a marketing plan that
will fit your needs.
This assistance would be coordinated through the direction
of the Golden BearMarketing Director.
It may include the hiring of reps and the preparation
of trade show sales aids and related brochures,
posters and videos.

Sales and Profit Projections
Contact Golden Bear for financial projections
of sales and profits on brick,
roof tile, floor tile and other products.

ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS

The Ceramext process can manufacture Environmentally
Green ceramics from many wastes or recyclable materials
that have limited or no other known uses.

Over 100 million tons of coal combustion byproducts
(CCBs) are produced annually in the U.S.

Only one-fourth of these CCBs is utilized, while
the rest is disposed mainly in costly landfills.

Materials from mine tailings and other waste materials
could also often be recycled by the Ceramext system.

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act passed
by Congress initially in 1976 mandates federal
agencies to utilize recycled products when
available and feasible.

Local tax incentives and grants are available
for recycling in many areas.
