I have always found capsaicin good for a number of common ailments. It seems to work at least as well as aspirin as a pain reliever. It also seems to relieive ulcer type symptoms. A good source of capsaicin is the jalopena pepper. They work better raw. It takes about three large peppers per day to produce a good medicinal effect. Because jalapenas are quite hot there is a technique for eating them. The best way I know of is to coat the inside of the mouth with olive oil before ingesting the peppers. Actually any type of fat will do, but olive oil has a good reputation with people who claim they know a lot about nutritian. One large jalapena three times a day will cure almost anything, at least thats what I've heard. James
