lunar stuff: 1/26 is a new moon, a solar eclipse. it is not just any SE, it relates to other important highs and turning points by both straight fibo, other cycles, and by root/phi (spiral calendar@tm) stuff. here goes: * this solar eclipse cycle, saros 131, marked exactly the 1/15/1991 major low. that was 18 years. * two recent dates extend by 2.618 exactly from 1/26/09. namely: 4/22/1998 and 11/28/1980. * the SC ™: f33 from the 1857 hamburg panic which started in november. f33 + f29 from the 1799 high astro: the 2009 bradley has a high in late january but a little earlier than 1/26. the actual astro i like best is very close to and/or on the date. news background: * Omania should still be sizzling as he will surely be ready to sign, or BE signing, the stimulus packages. * the two day FED meetiing, 1/27/-1/28, will probably formalize the quantitative policy shift, thus enabling the FED to massively purchase long term debt and who knows what else. positive anticipation of that meeting should cause most remaining shorts to cover on its eve. there's more, but i see you nodding off! comments?

i did a really poor job of laying that out. my excuse is that i am working on a new computer and that i am lazy. btw, the f33/f29 is also 2.618. so, we have two sets of dates (one set recent, the other set deep) which resonate with 1/26/09 by phi squared. i will NOT BE LONG after 1/26 until i see a hard plunge low. i have a couple of dates for that low, but we will see how this works first.

H1, Are there reasons this 1/26 area couldn't be a low? It seems just as plausible to put in a top here in 1/6/09 area and then have a panic into the astro timing. My own timing work is looking for a turn on 1/6/09 (presumed to be a high) and a turn around 2/17/09 (assumed at this point to be an IT low). Turn dates are +/- a 2 trading days. Kimston

kimston: i NEVER rule out a polarity surprise, LOL. but for the reasons i mentioned a high makes more sense to me. i should add that i see 1/26 as just the first high: 2/10 and 3/10 could also be up there. 3/10 is the stretch goal, of course, but would do the MOST bear damage.

Dow has closed down 4 months in a row. Combine that with the important seasonal history of January (closed up about 65% of the time in the past ~5 or so decades) and you've got a strong case for a push higher toward the end of the month. Nice post h1.

CORRECTION:

the f33 is not relevant to 1/26/09. it is part of a diifferent worksheet which will appear later. i thank "dave" for pointing this out. his SC ™ blog:
