How do you get Senators and Congressmen from Vermont, NH or Maine to care about Mexican immigration when they have virtually none? How do you get Southwestern congressmen to see environmental concerns when their area is a frickin' desert?

It is easy to envision sctions of the Southwestern US states becoming a sort of North Mexico. Not part of Mexico, because there is a reason they left Mexico, but it's own area. I don't see it doing well, but the new border will be ferociously patrolled.

I can see Northern CA, Oregon and Washington forming a country (potentially with Western Canada) called "Cascadia".

I can see a large region that would be from Idaho-Montana all the way to the Midwest down to the South becoming a 'red state America'

I can aslo envision the Northeast from say Washington DC up to Maine over to Western NY/PA becoming the "North Atlantic Union".

The odd puzzle piece is the Upper Midwest. The Minnesota through Ohio cluster is rather purple. Indiana could be the northern red tongue of the 'red state America', but if you look at county by county results to elections, you will find that Illinois is actually pretty red except for Cook County (Chicago) and East St. Louis. I can easily see Illinois exacting a 'dead voter' revenge on Chicago by auditing all votes and moving to 'red state America'. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio could become part of the North Atlantic Union

Makes a lot of sense to me, given the rigid polarization of the country. When Texas was making secession noises a while back, here in Cascadia we were getting out the party hats and getting to ready to cheerfully wave good-bye. :bye: And since no one wants to cooperate any longer for "the good of the country" maybe it is time to slip the Constitution into the archive file, pull the melting pot out of the fire and let the Liberty Bell crack apart. After all, why is it North Dakota and Wyoming (with a combined population of 1.2 million people), for example, have the same power in the U.S. Senate as New York and California (with a combined population of 56 million)? How absurd has that become? Should two nincompoops from South Dakota (population, 800 thousand) who couldn't get elected to the board of varmint control be blocking measures advocated by the Senators in California (population 37 million)?

And yes, Western Canada (particularly British Columbia) would be a fine fit in Cascadia but we'd respect BC no matter what country it's in.

The trouble with this, of course, is that your "red state America" would go broke without its current subsidies from the other three countries. Hey, maybe it'd work after all... What if the other three countries figured out they could provide many more services for their people and still balance their national budgets simply by cutting loose "in-the-red state America"?

Up here in the country of Cascadia, with the US federal government shut down, we're thinking NOW IS THE TIME! ;) :D

The European Union is falling apart now. The USA will eventually follow.

An illiberal impetus that has allowed bureaucrats in Brussels to usurp the authority of previously sovereign states and make policy for the Continent (while being immune from its repercussions). Were it not for the rigid controls the EU exerts over its satellite states—each European country would be likely to respond to “refugees” in a manner consistent with the wishes of the voters, rather than that of the bureaucracy and its crooked beneficiaries.

Please don't attach Connecticut to the rest of the NorthEast - let us split off into Maritime provinces and attach to Canada. Connecticut has been invaded by New York liberals and they need to just attach it to New York City and call it a country of its own.

“Shattered Consensus”

makes the case there is an inevitable “revolution” coming because our politics, culture, education, economics and even philanthropy are so polarized that the country can no longer resolve its differences.

“The problems will mount to a point of crisis where either they will be addressed through a ‘fourth revolution’ or the polity will begin to disintegrate for lack of fundamental agreement.”

He identifies two previous eras where a general consensus prevailed, and collapsed. Each lasted about as long as an individual’s lifetime, was dominated by a single political party and ended dramatically.

First came the era that stretched from 1800 until slavery and sectionalism led to the Civil War.

The second consensus, which he calls the capitalist-industrial era, lasted from the end of the Civil War until the Great Depression.

It is the third consensus, which grew out of the depression and World War II, which is now shattering. Because the nation is unable to solve economic stagnation, political dysfunction and the resulting public discontent, Piereson thinks the consensus “cannot be resurrected.”

Just agreeing and repeating what I said before because with this issue it always bears repeating. :)

The ruling class has failed and yet cannot see it.

They have turned the Middle East and soon Europe into a giant disaster zone, left the West up to its eyeballs in debt and with dysfunctional cities, and yet they pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves for being “sensible” and “measured”. They claim to be great businessmen and yet depend for their wealth on the ability to borrow at 0%.

It's beginning to bother me how much I agree with you on these issues (any issues), but agree here too, with the exception that I believe they DO SEE IT and continue to exploit it -- Naomi Klein's The Stock Doctrine - The Rise of Disaster Capitalism

I like the way this guy explains things because alot of it is the same way I think.

Do not vote and cease consent to pervasive lies.

Its incomprehensible, they just cant count. Its about the destruction of labor via destruction of currency.

like tv talks about problems with no reference to cause, there is only a couple maybe even one root problem

of which all things are symptoms, reactions, escalations.

The whole existance of the federali de-education and media mind control is to obfuscate the root problem.

Its nothing more that destruction of labor.

I have the new epiphany, well something I've evolved but finally put one of their short phrases to it, debt is more valuable than labor.

That is 1980 basel-ii naming treasury level 1 fractional reserve, naming debt more valuable than labor, because it is easier than

labor, particularly when they have the octopus statute tentacle into the labor butt,

He is saying alot of things here I say, no meaning to the retail ideas of investment they are selling. I have been doing the gold for example,

I have been doing tangible values and particularly "things" that are investments in my own future income. I have been doing the whole life

insurance and roth annuity in the paper form of investments because of their property rights attributes. I still do 401k to get the company match

and tax deferral per statute, unfortunately on

the chance I can roll that over to a private mutual annuity with property rights in just 2 more years, I still have to do some forms of their retail

investment

What is most important to invest in is health and safety, to replace communist labor debasement with longevity. For example most new employment is over

age 55, to pay property tax federali de-education narco prison revolving door socialism, denying opportunity for young people with tuition debt.

socialism works good like that. They have lots of statutes but never chanted for a statute to exempt property tax at retirement,

harvesting generations of slave children. All those communist statutes work good like that.

Why dont they have any good statutes like that, because they will destroy the currency much faster than

they can tax it out of slave labor.

They can even read it in english in chapter 7, its right there, debt is more valuable than labor.

A slave with debt can file ch 7, a slave not in debt, cannot. They can have a 1200 housing expense and two car expenses of $1200,

they cannot have a house and car, but they can have house and car payments, spot the difference. Therefore they should have payments,

and all investment reserved into unalienable property rights.

"marxism-lennonism-communism always fails and never worked, because I know

some of them, and they don't work"  M.Jordan
