They also don't want to pass more anti-semitic House resolutions against Omar and the like which passed unanimously.

"The House on Wednesday unanimously passed a broad condemnation of anti-Semitism days after Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., received widespread criticism over her comments on Israel.

The language, which does not mention Omar by name, was approved 424-0 using a legislature procedure that lets the minority party make a last-minute motion to change legislation just before it’s passed. The procedure almost never works for the minority party, in part because the minority usually tries to make radical changes to the bill that the majority quickly rejects.

On Wednesday, however, Republicans used the so-called “motion to recommit” vote to call for the addition of language to a resolution that states it is in the “national interests of the United States to combat anti-Semitism at home and abroad.”

“With an unfortunate rise in anti-Semitism and attempts to delegitimize Israel, the United States House of Representatives must emphasize the importance of combating anti-Semitism and reject all movements that deny Israel’s right to exist,” the amendment states.

The sponsor of the language, Rep. David Kustoff, R-Tenn., indicated the language was aimed at Omar, who has been criticized by both parties for comments they say amount to anti-Semitism.

“This horrific anti-Semitic tone being taken by some Members of Congress must come to an end,” Kustoff said. “The language I offered affirms the United States’ interest in combating anti-Semitism at home and abroad, something my colleagues on both sides of the aisle should and must support. I am proud to stand today in solidarity with my Jewish community as this hate has no place in our country.”

The House easily approved the proposal, marking the first time in several years that the motion to recommit worked."

Remarkable - so speaking truth to power reveals the lobby that's opposed to the First Amendment is overwhelming more powerful than even the vaunted lobby that is pro the Second Amendment?  What has the U.S. Constitution come to?

I don't see anything here about 2nd Amendment or lobbying.  At the same time the 1st Amendment is not offended.  Anti-semites can gush forth as they please and those opposed can call them bigots.  The 1st permits both.  The Constitution also permits either chamber to sanction or expel a member by a 2/3 vote for what the majority deems to be unacceptable behavior as defined by the members at any specific time.

Explaining to Congress is impossible as Congresswoman Omar has just discovered, but I'll let Glenn Greenwald explain TO YOU what is really going on here (he does mention the NRA also):

Criticizing Israeli Lobby & AIPAC Is Not Anti-Semitic

P.S. I did not see any reference to Ocasio-Cortez in your post about Omar.  I did not start this thread about Ocasio-Cortez, the Russian bot did, but even so you probably should stay on topic if only to acknowledge the propagandist's hard work (you know, from one propagandist to another...).

Greenwald did not address Goodman's question about Omar's tweet about Benjamin's baby, etc. which resulted in the unanimous condemnation of Omar by the House so they see something that Greenwald missed.  As for Omar, why would I mention AOC in a post about Omar?  I commented on Omar because it was brought up.  You have a problem with that?

Why Ocasio-Cortez' lesson in dark money is the most watched political video

A clip in which the congresswoman asks ethics experts about government corruption has been viewed 40 million times

LET'S PLAY A GAME...

Forty million times and still growing.

The video, Let's Play A Game", shows the 5-minute period during which AOC questioned the panel, including Institute for Free Speech Chair Bradley Smith.  The video was posted on Twitter by actor James Corden and retweeted by AOC who used the hearing as a platform to push her anti-establishment views.  The thrust of her questioning was to establish what can be done with "dark money" from special interests.  Her questioning was misleading and when she was finished one of her committee members, Chip Roy, asked Smith to respond to AOC who then proceeded to correct AOC about campaign finance law.  This was not included in the Corden/AOC video but was picked up by C-Span.  The text of Smith's statement and C-Span video are below:

"There are a couple things for example that would not be, she asked if there is anything that could apply here? There are things that do not apply here. For example, the whole point of the article she held up that I wrote was that you cannot use your campaign funds to make those payments that would be illegal personal use. Campaign funds are not dark money. They are totally disclosed so they are not dark money. It's worth noting be the way that dark money constituted by $1.7 billion, I believe that figure is incorrect by factor of about 500%. Dark money constitutes 2% to 4% of total spending in U.S. elections and has always been involved in U.S. elections. Those are just a couple of points. I did kind of chuckle at the question is it possible, asked of us, that these influences are, this money is influencing the questioning here. To that, I'd say that is something you have to ask yourselves, if you are being influenced, then see what you think. If you are then you might question yourselves, if you're not you might question this hearing."

Conservative Christians Claim Ocasio-Cortez Is A Witch Leading Attack Against Trump

Earlier this month,  Dave Kubal, president of  the Religious Right group Intercessors for America, explained how Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is connected to “a coven of witches that cast spells on President Trump 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

Immediately after interviewing conservative Christian congressman Jody Hice of Georgia during his monthly “prayer call,”  Kubal told his followers:

It’s been widely publicized that there is a coven of witches that cast spells on President Trump 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This particular coven is found in the southern portion of New York City.

So, right in the middle of all of this, the southern district, in the middle of where these witches are doing the 24/7 spell-casting, we find the territory of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

If these stupid people weren't so bat-$hit crazy, this would be biggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.pnglaugh.png!.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, what the good ministers in Salem have long since known, witches are diabolically evil tricksters.

This could explain Trumpster's serial adultery, his preying on porn stars, his constant sucking up to Putin, his unbridled avarice, his daughter lust, his lying, lying, lying and the freaking orange hair. It's all a joke played by the witches of the Southern District of New York (notice they've never identified the lawyers in that Office cuz they're all women...uh, I mean witches).

In reality, Donny is as pure as a twelve-year-old altar boy untouched by neither priestly nor womanly hands but alas...he has witches in his life.

To all of this, if it be so...I say, well played, ladies!

How Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Won the Cohen Hearing

These questions were not random, but, rather, well thought out. Like a good prosecutor, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez was establishing the factual basis for further committee investigation. She asked one question at a time, avoided long-winded speeches on why she was asking the question, and listened carefully to his answer, which gave her the basis for a follow-up inquiry. As a result, Mr. Cohen gave specific answers about Mr. Trump’s shady practices, along with a road map for how to find out more. Mr. Cohen began his testimony calling Mr. Trump a “con man and a cheat;” In just five minutes, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez actually helped him lay out the facts to substantiate those charges.

The Yale/George Mason poll is 2-1/2 months old.  There have been significant changes since.  Why does this article ignore recent polls?

Polls say that majority support border wall before Green New Deal and actions to deal with climate change (if possible) poll last out of 17 categories  With Democrats in Congress trying to avoid voting up or down for GND support is a flash in the pan - like AOC.

Probably shouldn't go on beating a dead delusional horse especially when he's blown his dream date in Vietnam, but the headline on this story is just too good to pass up:

A.O.C. AND COHEN TEAM UP TO GIVE TRUMP A FINANCIAL COLONOSCOPY HE'LL NEVER FORGET

Will that be before or after Barr acts on the criminal referral for Cohen lying to Congress that was sent to Barr today?  AOC sure knows how to pick winners - GND, Amazon, Cohen.
