It was pointed out that participation is dropping in this rally according to the $VLE. I haven't used this

in a long time. Looking over the last year, whenever it diverged with a new price high, SPX went on to

add another 100-300 points before correcting, this latest case was Oct. through Jan, for an additional around 300 points. So, this might fit with a March or April top, I don't think we drop more than 5% though.

Breadth is positive so far on a down day, MACD has crossed up, I think next week is higher.

Nice to see you posting again C. I really appreciate your work. I have the same overall mindset if you will, of your analysis.

Cheers

Thanks.  Basically, I've stopped looking for short opportunities in a bull market, I will just go to cash and wait to buy the next low.

The amount of wrong trades is not worth catching the one that works.

Maybe they sell ahead of the long weekend, hourly no signal, but 15 min. looks like they may run it back into the close.

Five point stop looks good here.

And that's why I don't like stops, they are only good in hindsight, and stick to the hourly signals and higher timeframes,

be willing to take the drawdown, don't sell for a loss.

Stops are the closest thing to a guaranteed loss there is.  Get stopped and then end up right, hey that sounds a lot like options.
