If the SPX elects to close above the upper BB, that would be a fairly bullish signal:

So the SPX pulled back from the price above, but at the end of the day, the SPX closed above the upper BB:

Also, both of the smaller Hurst projections were fulfilled as of Friday's close:

Now only the 20-week and 40-week upward projections remain unfulfilled; I think the lower of the two will be fulfilled, though without a catalyst, I'm not so sure about the higher target... twt.

Here's the SPX monthly with a warning for 2024, as the larger cycle troughs appear to be running a bit long, a decent low should form due to the confluence of the nominal 54-month, 9-year and 18-year troughs; the crash of '87 marked a notable confluence of the same in a bull market cycle.

Every day it closes over the Upper BB, the sooner a smack down is on the way...

In February, June and September, those "hugging the upper BBs" moves all ended on GAPS DOWN

Resulting in a trip to the Lower BB.

So not something you want to hold long or short overnight.

Few longs will sell the gap down and end up selling lower...

Few shorts will want to sell a gap down...and they will miss the move, do stupid stuff like capitulate just in time for a big bounce.

When the gap down comes, those with the cajones and the proper stops will get short.
