the discussion about covid cases in the usa, in the world or wherever else, is currently useless. Markets have already digested the disaster caused in china and after bottoming in march they have turned bullish again. If one doesn' t understand that, I think he will have big problems with his trading. Everything I look at is currently bullish and a vaccine will be ready by year end......for the markets the covid problem is over. A second lock down is not in the cards and the run to the vaccine is in its final stages.....stock markets look forwards, not backwards. It's clear that being bullish here is not easy, with all the news from the media that depict a tragic reality, but the stock markets don' t look at now, they look at early 2021. The wall of worries has to be climbed and it will

The media in US is no longer practicing JOURNALISM. They are going crazy pushing the "positive test" numbers.

But fail to mention that is exactly how one builds immunity, by acquiring low dose infection. That triggers body to produce anti-bodies, which results in positive test result because many tests are based on presence of anti-bodies.

And the media declares as "BAD" statistics to have more positive tests!

since my sister's husband is in the sector and I' ve got some notions of medicine, just a few, I fear that there is not a low dose infection. You are infected or you' re not. Individual response may be different and many don' t even realize to be infected while others develop a severe form of illness. Whatever the kind of individual response when covid enters your body, it will replicate itself not depending on how much entered. Obviously the less the viral charge you encounter the fewer the probabilities for it to enter your body. What really makes the difference probably is that a strain can get weaker with time as it seems it's happening here currently. As for herd immunity, it's the immunity of the group that is achieved when most people of the group have been infected and have overcome the infection developing protection i.e. antibodies. The more the immune people the less the infection circulates and the fewer the new cases will be. The group........is safe.

all of that just to say, because I think that covid influence over stock markets is OVER.........the powers that be will take advantage from covid worries to climb the wall of worries that will leave most off of the train to the next market top when it occurrs

It is. And you are probably right. It's just habit at this point. That said, it sure looks to me like you guys, the UK, Spain, and Belgium have something like herd immunity. Damned hard-fought, but still, I like the numbers now.

If some infected person sneezes or coughs near your face you inhale millions of virus cells.

If you are in a big room standing 10 feet away from infected person for 15 minutes you will inhale fewer virus cells floating in air than a sneeze in your face. It is basic common sense.

Each individual has different ability to fight invasion by virus cells. Again common sense tells us it is easier for the body's defense to kill a few thousand virus cells than millions of cells. When virus cells are killed by body some of us in good health will produce antibodies and show no symptoms of sickness.

Again common sense tells us if the covid-19 test is based on detectimg antibodies, that healthy person whose defenses killed the virus but now has antibodies will be declared to be positive. Which defies common sense .

There will be no effective vaccine against COVID-19, just as there is no effective vaccine against the flu.

I perfectly know that, I' ve been saying that to anybody here for years. Most doctors I know wouldn' t overcome Mathematical Analysis 1, go figure if they might overcome Tecnique of Constructions or Hydraulics. No chance. In any case pdx5 you are considering the viral charge i.e. the concentration of viral units and obviously if one sneezes in your face the viral charge you meet is exponentially higher than if he sneezes towards you at the distance of 4 meters. That's why they have established  a safety distance among persons when they talk to one another. But it doesn' t matter the amount of virus that infects a person. The result is the same both if a person is infected by a high dose of viral units or a low dose. It doesn' t matter how much virus infected you, what matters is that it infected you. Because even if it entered with a low dose, it will quickly replicate itself in your body. However I don' t know why I' m talking about that. To me this covid affair is over with regards to markets' behaviour.

forgot.......I wear my ffp2 mask even when I get out with my bycicle so I think that if anybody wear a mask, this infection slowly disappears. Masks do protect. Masks and safety distance.
