these surges are most often linked to short covering otherwise they couldn't be so violent, but hey it's a damnation day for bearish position holders

It was enough to scare the bears out of their positions.   My Rydex Ratio and Put/Call indicators which were Bullish and starting to lean Bullish went back to neutral after yesterday.   So now I am in position where the analysis for medium term direction and short term direction are neutral..    I guess a bull position is leaning until short term indicators become overbought ( short term are 3 or 5 day horizon ) in my case.

Curious when your thinking ath andr?  I've agreed about a grinding rally to year end,,,,, ath's though not a chance or even next year in my view.  We may touch them but were gonna be sideways for a looooong time.

CPI is not down, it is actually up if not for the BLS making an annual adjustment that reduced the cost of health insurance which is actually up 20% Y-O-Y. So as long as they add more hedonic nonsense you are good.

I saw reports that cost of heating this winter in Europe will be 90% higher than last year.

Does that mean freezing Europeans will be selling stocks to buy fossil fuels to stay warm?
