Now, it is absolutely established beyond a shadow of a doubt epidemiologically that virtually all Type 1 diabetes is due to Vitamin D deficiency, and it's tragic and irresponsible that we're not preventing it.

This is, of course, anecdotal. For 20 years or so I had recurring bouts of cellulitis once or twice every year. This is a condition with painful infections in the skin and the underlying layers ... usually in the calf.

It was found in a blood test that I was deficient in vitamin D. I started taking Vitamin D3 supplements and even though my blood tests Now show that I was no longer deficient, I continued taking the supplements of D3.

For The Last 5 Years I've not had any bouts of cellulitis or any the other infections I often had before.

For this one purpose I swear by vitamin D3 and this benefit of fighting off infections.

Any other benifits claimed I can not support.
