AOC is the gift that keeps on giving.  She ties Pelosi up in knots as she is unable to deal with the stupidity spouted by AOC.  It is hard to believe that she graduated cum laude from BU which may not be the greatest school around but it is not that low.

At the recent SXSW conference, AOC put her cum laude education on full display when she said:

“One perfect example, I think a perfect example of how special interests and the powerful have pitted white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans in order to just screw over all working-class Americans, is Reaganism in the ’80s when he started talking about welfare queens. So you think about this image of welfare queens and what he was really trying to talk about was … this like really resentful vision of essentially black women who were doing nothing that were ‘sucks’ on our country.”

And then if that were not enough she gushed forth with:

“And it’s this whole tragedy of the commons type of thinking where it’s like because these one, this one specific group of people, that you are already kind of subconsciously primed to resent, you give them a different reason that’s not explicit racism but still rooted in a racist caricature.  It gives people a logical reason, a ‘logical’ reason to say, ‘oh yeah, no, toss out the whole social safety net.'”

One has to be floating on weed or something to understand this.  Even the moderator didn't want to embarrass her by asking what that all meant.  Never mind because she provided more to chew on:

“It’s just that now we’ve strayed so far away from what has really made us powerful, and just, and good, and equitable, and productive, and so I think all of these things sound radical compared to where we are but where we are is not a good thing. And this idea of like 10 percent better from garbage, is, shouldn’t be what we settle for, it’s like this like it feels like moderate is not a stance it’s just an attitude toward life of like hmmm.”

So, AOC views the present situation in the U.S. as garbage and at the same time advocates for the likes of Venezuela where people actually eat garbage.  It's a good thing she did not study psychology because she would shock herself to the core when she realized that she was a living case of projection.

Until she undergoes psychotherapy the elephants will bathe in the glow of AOC's stupidity to the chagrin of the donkeys who are forced to wallow in it.

Holy cow! What a hoot you're becoming!

The reason the moderator didn't ask her what all that meant is likely because the moderator, unlike you evidently, knew exactly what she meant. It is as plain spoken a point of view as any college graduate should be able to understand, although. granted, she's using a higher vocabulary than anything coming out of, say, the White House.

But why what bother with your few chosen excerpts (as telling as they are)?  The woman can speak quite knowledgeably and eloquently on a large range of subjects herself.  There is so much more here.  Be sure to stay or, at least jump, to the end, her reply to Bill Nye ("the science guy") about those who fear change, the ruling class as well as so many of those they rule, and the courage it takes to stand up and make a difference is worth the entire video.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ, SWSX 2019

P.S. I recognize that calling her stupid and ignorant is a talking point you're trying to hammer home in hope if you say it often enough and loud enough your friends and anyone who blunders into listening to you will believe it or continue to believe if and maybe no one who's ever listened to her will believe it, but to call someone stupid and ignorant who is so obviously neither of those things eventually calls into question the knowledge and intelligence of those making the call. That's a propaganda technique straight out of Karl Rove (and of course by now the entire dishonest Republic Party).  You do know that, right?  Hmm, maybe you don't...

The moderator did not ask for clarification because her comments were incoherent and beyond stupid.  If you think that the moderator did not ask for clarification of these excerpts because they are clear why don't you explain them to us.  She is essentially spewing a stream of consciousness.

As for Nye he is just another Gore who appeals to the science challenged.  Nye's lack of scientific expertise is well documented and does not differ very much from AOC's lack of expertise in GND stuff.  The two together are worth grabbing a bag of popcorn and settling down for a good laugh.

P.S. What are your thoughts about the video posted above by hhh?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just revived a classic argument by conservative economist Milton Friedman about who pays for pollution.

AOC and Friedman are talking about two different things.  AOC about the effect of fossil fuels on climate change for which she has no evidence.  Friedman about pollution from car exhaust.  Apples and oranges.  Put this one in the round file along with her understanding of capitalism and socialism that she so clearly explained in a previously posted video.

AOC recently interviewed the Wells Fargo CEO to her embarrassment.  Her questions were an attempt to push her climate justice agenda which fell flat.

Nothing embarrassing about that.  She probing whether or not a lending institution like Wells Fargo should have more focus on whether it should be more civically responsible in addition to its financial responsibilities,  That is a legitimate line of questioning that evidently these financial institutions are not used to having to deal with in Congress so he's vague and sometimes at a loss. Having now experienced her focus on the bigger picture, next time he has to testify he'll probably be better prepared, which of course is exactly what she is after.

Now this MAY BE embarrassing but it's funny:

WHY ARE SO MANY MALE FOX NEWS HOSTS SO OBSESSED WITH THIS 29-YEAR-OLD WOMAN?

(P.S. Let me whisper this: "Never underestimate the experience and effectiveness of female bartenders dealing with people.")
