According to the CDC stats for Covid deaths and Roadway deaths and disabilities,

hundreds of thousands of lives were saved in 2020 lockdowns.

(Not to mention the reduction in pollution!!!)

See Forbes Link

CDC:
Average Worldwide Annual Road Deaths = 1,350,000
20,000,000 to 50,000,000 more suffer non-fatal, but often debilitating injuries
Road deaths are the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years.

Worldwide 2020 Covid Deaths = 1,840,000

However,

Roadway Fatalities during the lock down period this spring fell on average by 33%!
Not surprisingly, the strongest drops occurred among the counties with the severest lockdowns in place:

New Zealand (-80%), Italy (-79%) and South Africa (-78%)

Math extrapolation says that Covid and has saved hundreds of thousands lives and perhaps millions of disabling highway injuries.

So when will we permanently lockdown those deadly roadways?

And...

US Flu deaths are down two-thirds from the five-year average.

Pneumonia deaths in the US are down 60% from the five-year average.

A similar pattern is emerging in the UK, 28% lower than the five-year monthly average.

So...Lockdowns saved hundreds of thousands of lives in 2020!

Or did it really?

While lockdowns saved children from roadway deaths, many covid deaths would have occurred from the common flu anyway.

Additionally,

Symptoms of anxiety disorder and depressive disorder increased considerably in the United States during April–June of 2020, compared with the same period in 2019.

The percentage of respondents who reported having seriously considered suicide in the 30 days before completing the survey (10.7%) was significantly higher among respondents aged 18–24 years (25.5%)

Overall, 40.9% of 5,470 respondents who completed surveys during June reported an adverse mental or behavioral health condition, including those who reported symptoms of anxiety disorder or depressive disorder.

At least one adverse mental or behavioral health symptom was reported by more than one half of respondents who were aged 18–24 years.

Suicidal ideation was more prevalent among males than among females.

Those who committed suicide were not available for comment.

When all this dust settles we will know the answers...or will we?

Look at the HUGH elephant in the Covid confusion room:

Where are all of the heart Patients?

They died from lack of treatment!

Fear of seeking care in hospitals overwhelmed by the pandemic may have caused thousands of deaths, experts say

Heart attacks were already the single biggest cause of death, far exceeding Covid related deaths.

But now I see this from the CDC:

“Excess Death” Data Point to Pandemic’s True Toll

Heart attack deaths up 27% in hardest hit areas in 2020!

"During Covid, heart conditions drove spike in deaths beyond those attributed to Covid-19, analysis shows.

In just 4 states, there were 75,000 "excess deaths" 17,000 more than the number officially attributed to covid-19!

The analysis suggests that in five hard-hit states and New York City there were 8,300 more deaths from heart problems than would have been typical in March, April and May — an increase of roughly 27 percent over historical averages.

That spike contributed to Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, and New York state and the city having a combined 75,000 “excess deaths” during that period, 17,000 more than the number officially attributed to covid-19, the disease the virus causes."

Additionally, how many cancer and stroke victims avoided care and died for the same reason?

We had better hope that these vaccines work as advertised.

With 1.2M saved in the US annually from cancer deaths and screenings/treatments down 40-50% during lockdown, there would be an annual rate of 480-600K added deaths as a result.
