Again...just dishing out actual facts...draw your own conclusions about the shape of the curve below, and the shape the surge States curves will look like in a few more weeks...and the associated need for masks...

The rest of the story is the population density is low in Sweden. But feel free to not wear a mask where you live if you dont like them. It will all work out for the best.

Uhhhh...Stockholm actually has population density (12,000 +/- per sq mile) on par with Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago

And about 1/6 of Swedes live in Stockholm.

The point is, do the masks really provide any benefit other than psychological?

Most actual studies say no, and Sweden (no masks) and Houston (many masks) case curves now starting look nearly identical suggests the same. It ain't the masks killing the curve.....the curve is going to expire when it expires regardless.

Spot on...and more importantly, Sweden (nor Japan or Belarus) didn't destroy their entire economies in taking this course of action.

You have been steadfastly on the correct side of this whole thing from the start...nice work, and thank you.

Substantive, unequivocal data on COVID-19, which was updated on July 17th, can be found at https://tinyurl.com/yy5pvfkf and included this quote:

"Due to its rather low lethality, Covid-19 falls at most into level 2 of the five-level pandemic plan developed by US health authorities. For this level, only the “voluntary isolation of sick people” is to be applied, while further measures such as face masks, school closings, distance rules, contact tracing, vaccinations and lockdowns of entire societies are not recommended."

Please, people, stop living in fear and listening to these treacherously uniformed talking heads on your preferred communication device...it just makes you nothing more than a willing and foolish political pawn who would easily give up your freedoms and liberties for what is described as being "for the greater good":

Cases rising in Spain.

i have had to cancel a trip to Mallorca due to Spain Being added on Sunday to The UK quarantine list.

early signs of a possible second wave in Europe, although I doubt this happens for another 2-3 months.

Again, using Sweden as an example of relatively good news, and then extrapolating this to the rest of Europe/world has many flaws.

im astonished by the high percentage of antimaskers in the US.

£100 spot fine in the UK if masks not worn in supermarkets, but bars and restaurants....no restrictions with masks.

being steadfastly right will not bring back the 150k US deaths so far, and the negative impact this has Had

on bereaved relatives and communities

My first wife was from Sweden, so I visited a few times there. Actually their cities are more densely populated because most of the housing is multiple apartment buildings. But once you get out of the city, it is all woods and forests. My first visit to Sweden was in 1968 and my first intro to many things such as self serve gas stations, heated car seats, and spotlessly clean stores and streets.

However my Polaroid camera with instant color photo prints impressed my in-laws!

The mask thing in the US is just the latest and greatest version of government sponsored foolishness. The scaled up version of what goes on at the airports with the TSA guys. Its all the government knows how to do well. Put on the foolishness act......

Sadly, IMHO, this wear mask don't wear mask has become like people rooting for their favorite sports team.

It also reminds me of those making stock market forecasts, where they make 1000 predictions and if one comes true they herald that fact and overlook all the wrong predictions.

It does NOT matter how many graphs one puts up -- or -- not, the VIRUS is in CHARGE!

For a society to function there is a tradeoff between individual rights and group rights and how does one strike a balance between the two.

If everyone can do anything they want, when they want, then chaos exists.  Can one imagine driving down the street without stop signs.

It may work, until someone comes along and believes their rights Trump (pun intended) everyone elses.

Also like someone who cries "FIRE" in a crowded theater, they exercised their individual rights, but caused injury to many others.

The question as I see it, is who do you believe?

Do you follow the guy with the biggest megaphone, or go with current science and its best guess estimate on how best way to solve this virus problem?
