Fed Speak: Always like betting on a horse race...

NUGT sold off fairly hard yesterday on volume making a P&F "High Pole Warning"

My bet would be that a bottom was seen in this morning's low opening. TWT

2:30 ET Watch Jerome Powell's press conference Live:

While no major changes are expected out of the Fed's monetary policy statement itself, investors will want to make sure Powell remains as dovish as before during his press conference on Wednesday despite the improving macroeconomic data the U.S. has seen lately. This is why extra attention will be paid to any hints of potential tapering.

"Markets are starting to look for signs of tapering and Powell will surely be asked about the timing," said BBH Global Currency Strategy global head Win Thin. "The latest Bloomberg survey shows growing expectations of Fed tapering in Q4. About 45% of the economists responding expect the Fed to announce tapering in Q4, with 14% seeing an even earlier start in Q3."

Adam Button, senior currency strategist at Forexlive, said that the central bank’s statement on the economic recovery is not as strong as it could have been.

“There is very little to digest here,” he said.

The monetary policy committee reiterated its stance that it will maintain its current accommodative policies for the foreseeable future.

“With inflation running persistently below this longer-run goal, the Committee will aim to achieve inflation moderately above 2 percent for some time so that inflation averages 2 percent over time and longer‑term inflation expectations remain well anchored at 2 percent. The Committee expects to maintain an accommodative stance of monetary policy until these outcomes are achieved,” the central bank said.

Although gold prices are off their session lows, they have not seen much reaction to the latest monetary policy statement and remain under modest selling pressure. June gold futures last traded at $1,774.50 an ounce, down 0.24% on the day.

Yes touched it, we'll see how it ends up on the day!  Lots of "transitory" talk even though lumber, coffee, copper, soy beans, corn all up over 100% this year and gas and oil on the rise lol!  What a joke!

Looks like the market will be up another 45.6% for the year likely around 55% in the end total since it seems to be done with volatility, unless.........pop.giflol!!

Gentleman Jay slammed TNX to 16.2. Miss Russell seemed impressed, but that didn't last long. So now we watch Miss Russell with the term "sticky" in mind. (JMHO)

Sink or swim for Miss Russell tomorrow. Have to say, I really wasn't expecting the TNX to top early and pullback before tomorrows data.(JMHO)
